Kota Sakano | Wooden Box (M)

These hand-carved boxes are made by Kota Banno, a woodworker who studied architecture and landscape design, and honed his skills at the Gifu Academy of Forest Science and Culture. He brings out the powerful yet serene expression hidden within the wood grain, finishing each piece with beeswax and plant-based oil. The strong presence and sculptural beauty of the wood bring a gentle tension and warmth to any space.
