Takeshi Tateishi | pewter 1
Takeshi Tateishi | pewter 1
This work explores a reversed world and the "invisible margins" that define its forms. Using the casting technique, molten tin (pewter) is poured into the hollow left after removing a clay mold, shaping the negative space itself. This piece bridges the gap between sound and sculpture.
Artist Tsuyoshi Tateishi (born in Tokyo): Independent after working with the art unit eje. His work centers on the theme of "emulsification"—the mixing of viewers and space. Awards include the 16th Okamoto Taro Award for Contemporary Art Special Award and the Asia Digital Art Award Excellence Award.
